Punk songs, and songs from Green Day, Blink 182 are very simple chords. Usually only 3 chords is all you need to know to play their songs.

So i'm a beginner and i want to know if there's any popular songs with easy cords (like the basic E,A, etc.)to play on the electric guitar. I already know how to play Smoke on the water, I'm just a kid (simple plan), free fallin', and songs of that difficulty. Know of any else?
Boulevard of Broken Dreams, look on youtube, there's a girl sitting in what looks like her bedroom floor, she's about sixteen….she plays chords like G, Em, D, very easy chords with a capo I think on the second or third fret….. another easy song is Yesterday, by the Beatles….. Tears In Heaven…..and Time in a Bottle, work on those and see how you make out, Tears in Heaven, and Yesterday, are in a book called, " The Very Best of Fingerstyle Guitar" it's put out by Hal Leonard, you can get this on his web site, it has finger style which sounds very nice, even for a beginner, chords, and tab. The way that Yesterday is played in this book is played on Youtube by a guy named Peo Kindgren, (just type in his name and the song), he plays the finger style version, very nice !!!!!!!
